Tuesday/Thursday

Ms. Traci Zegelien & Ms. Janice Minucci

My name is Traci Zegelien, and this year is my fifth year on staff at Mustard Seed. My husband Paul and I have been married for 14 years, our son Lucas is ten years old, and the baby of our family is Clark, a shepherd-lab mix. We currently live in Spring Hill and attend and serve at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin. I grew up in Indiana and went to college in east Tennessee. I attended Bryan College with an athletic scholarship and earned my degree in education with a minor in Bible. I’ve taught reading and language arts in Clarksville and Nashville since 1995, earned a Master’s degree in education and spent one year serving as a literacy coach to nine Metro schools before taking time off to start our family. Our son Lucas is MSP alumni and in fourth grade this school year. I’m so grateful to be a part of Mustard Seed staff, among authentic women of faith who are gifted in loving kids well, and I’m especially glad about being a part of the Fours teaching team. In partnership with parents, I strive to stretch my students academically but most importantly plant and nurture God’s Word in their hearts and minds, helping them develop a greater understanding of who He is, what He requires, as well as, His forgiveness, grace, and mercy.

My name is Janice Minucci and this is my 9th year at MSP. I graduated from the The King’s College in NY with a degree in Business Administration and Economics. I worked as a Training and Development Specialist with Reader’s Digest before I had our girls. My family and I moved from CT to TN 12 years ago. Steve and I have been married for 27 years. We have three girls. Sarah is working on her PhD at Virginia Commonwealth University, Julia is a senior at Lee University and Allie is a freshman at Lee University. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, learning about Jesus, hospitality and cooking, teaching 2nd graders at church, riding my bike, watching British Period Dramas and imparting my “wisdom” to my daughters, ha! What a treat it is for me to work with the children and families at MSP.

I am Laura Coughlin and am excited to begin my third year with Mustard Seed Preschool. My first year, I was a floater one day a week and substituted other days. Last year, I assisted Jodie two days a week and am thrilled to be doing it again. I grew up in Hendersonville so I consider the Nashville area home. After graduating from Western Kentucky University, I served on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ at Florida State. Since being married to Kent, I have done administrative work at a women’s pregnancy center, worked at The Disney Store, owned my own sewing business and lately, in addition to Mustard Seed, I also substitute teach in the Williamson County School system along with doing some contract work with Fleet Feet’s training coordinator. We have lived in Franklin for 10 years and are members of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church here in Franklin. When I get some free time, I love to sew, read, play games with my family, and run.

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday

Ms. Laura Ervin & Ms. Shelly Oliver

I’m Laura Ervin and I am the Lead teacher. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. We have lived in Nashville for 17 years now. I have been married to my husband Chris for 28 years this October. We have two children. My son Jonathan is my youngest at 21 years old. He is a junior at the University of Tennessee studying business marketing. My daughter Lauren, 24, is working on her graduate degree at Northwestern University in Chicago. She is studying Audiology. We are empty nesters now.

I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I was a school teacher for nine years teaching six years of third grade and three years of first grade. Then I took 20 years off to be a stay at home mom. I’ve been at Mustard Seed Preschool for five years. We are members of Christ Community Church. The reason I like teaching preschool is that the year my children were 4 years old was just such a sweet time in our lives and I loved that age before they went off to Pre-K. Thank you for allowing me to teach your precious children. I look forward to a great year and am excited to get to know you and your child.
