Sarah Elliott & Mandi Myers

My name is Sarah Elliott and this is my second year on staff at Mustard Seed Preschool. My husband, Jason and I have been married for 19 years. We have three wonderful children; Hannah (16) and AJ (14), both at Franklin High School, and Evie (6), who graduated from Mustard Seed Preschool last year and is heading off to Kindergarten! My family moved here from San Diego, California, where I taught preschool at Horizon Christian Fellowship. I studied Psychology and Early Childhood Education at the University of California, Riverside. When I am not loving on sweet kiddos in the classroom, you can usually find me cheering on my kids at their many sporting events, playing tennis, kayaking, or just having fun with family and friends! It is an honor to be apart of the Mustard Seed Family and serve alongside such an amazing and loving group of women. I am excited to see all God is going to do this year! I am praying for each child to grow academically, as they develop a life long love of learning, and for each child to grow spiritually, as they learn more about God’s grace and love!

My name is Mandi Myers and this is my fourth year on staff at MSP. My husband, Jeff, and I have been married 13 years, and we have three boys: Jude (9), Noah (8) and Caleb (5). I am from Texas and received my undergraduate degree from Baylor in Communication Sciences and Disorders and my masters from Vanderbilt in Hearing and Speech Sciences. Prior to my first son’s birth, I practiced as a speech-language pathologist at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center and in the Williamson County schools. My family is blessed to worship and serve at Community South in the Thompson’s Station/Spring Hill area. We also love all things outdoors, especially backpacking, canoeing, and tennis! I am thrilled to be assisting Ms. Sarah in 4’s this year, and I eagerly anticipate knowing your children and sharing God’s truth with them!

Tues/Thurs

Sarah Jane Hume & Janice Minucci

My name is Sarah Jane Hume and this is my first year teaching at Mustard Seed Preschool! I had the privilege of subbing at MSP last year and fell in love with this Christ centered school, loving staff, and the sweet bunch of kiddos that grace its halls. I received my bachelor and masters degrees in Education at Azusa Pacific University in CA and have taught 2nd grade and preschool over the years since then. My husband Darren and I have been married for 22 years and are raising 5 amazing kids of our own. We are currently parenting for college, high school, middle school, and elementary school ages in our house which is fun and keeps us on our toes! I love working with children and making connections with them to make learning fun and incorporate the joy of Jesus’ love into each day. I know the impact teachers have on our kids in these early years and count it a privilege and blessing to be a part of your child’s early school years. When I’m not teaching or taking care of my own kids, you’ll probably find me with my nose in a book, baking, or doing a craft project.

My name is Janice Minucci and this is my 11th year at MSP.  I graduated from The King’s College in NY with a degree in Business Administration and Economics.  I worked as a Training and Development Specialist with Reader’s Digest before I had our girls.  My family and I moved from CT to TN 14 years ago.  Steve and I have been married for 29 years.  We have three girls.  Sarah is continuing her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, Julia is working and living in Waco, TX and Allie is a junior at Lee University.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends, learning about Jesus, hospitality and cooking, teaching children at church, riding my bike, watching British Period Dramas and imparting my “wisdom” to my daughters, ha!  What a treat it is for me to work with the children and families at MSP.

Traci Zegelien & Racheal Lopez

My name is Traci Zegelien, and this year is my seventh year on staff at Mustard Seed. My husband Paul and I have been married for 16 years, our son Lucas is 12 years old, and our shepherd-lab mix Clark is 6 years old. We currently live in Spring Hill and attend and serve at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin. I grew up in Indiana and went to college in east Tennessee. I attended Bryan College; I played basketball and volleyball there and earned my degree in education and Bible. I’ve taught middle school reading and language arts in Clarksville and Nashville since 1995, earned a Master’s degree in education and spent one year serving as a literacy coach to nine Metro schools before taking time off to start our family. Our son Lucas is MSP alumni and in sixth grade this school year. I’m so grateful to be a part of Mustard Seed staff, among authentic women of faith who are gifted in loving kids well, and I’m especially glad about being a part of the Fours teaching team. This school year, I hope to stretch our students academically, but most importantly plant and nurture God’s Word in their hearts and minds, helping them develop a greater understanding of who He is. What an honor and privilege it is to partner with you in your child’s preschool education!

My name is Racheal Lopez and I am excited to start my second year at Mustard Seed Preschool. I have been a Nanny for a Mustard Seed family for 9 years, and I have experienced first hand the wonderful impact that Mustard Seed Preschool has on students. I have lived in Nashville for 25 years, but I have lived in seven different states and overseas. I am a potter, and I work mostly out my own home studio. I also love to read, go to flea markets and craft shows, and spend time with my family.
