Our son Lucas is MSP alumni and in fifth grade this school year.I’m so grateful to be a part of Mustard Seed staff, among authentic women of faith who are gifted in loving kids well, and I’m especially glad about being a part of the Fours teaching team. In partnership with parents, I hope to stretch my students academically but most importantly plant and nurture God’s Word in their hearts and minds, helping them develop a greater understanding of who He is, what He requires, as well as, His forgiveness, grace, and mercy.

My name is Laura Ervin and I am the Lead 4’s teacher. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. We have lived in Nashville for 18 years now. I have been married to my husband Chris for 29 years this October. We have two children. My son Jonathan is my youngest at 22 years old. She is home and looking for a job out in the Settle area. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I was a school teacher for nine years teaching six years of third grade and three years of first grade. Then I took 20 years off to be a stay at home mom. I’ve been at Mustard Seed Preschool for six years. We are members of Christ Community Church. The reason I like teaching preschool is that the year my children were 4 years old was just such a sweet time in our lives and I loved that age before they went off to Pre-K. Thank you for allowing me to teach your precious children. I look forward to a great year and am excited to get to know you and your child.

My name is Amanda Clarke. This is my first year at Mustard Seed Preschool. I am very excited to start this new journey. I grew up in West Virginia and graduated from West Virginia University with a Masters in Elementary Education and a Bachelors in Multi-disciplinary Studies. After graduation, I moved to Ohio and taught in a special needs school for two years. Two years later my husband and I got married and moved to Tennessee. We love TN and we are happy to call it our forever home. In 2011, I earned my National Board Certification in Elementary Education. After teaching fourth grade for five years in Williamson County schools, I decided to take some time off to start our family. Charles and I are the parents to two little Mustard Seeds. Ava Grace (4) is our girly girl who loves princesses and dress up. Savannah (3) is my vivacious child who loves people and school. They will attend MSP for their second year. In my free time I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my family, baking with my girls, and rooting for the WVU Mountaineers.
