Tuesday/Thursday

Ms. Laura Coughlin & Ms.Samia Awad

My name is Laura Coughlin and I am beginning my 4th year at Mustard Seed Preschool. I have been a floater and an assistant and am thrilled to be leading a class for the first time. My husband, Kent, and I have been married 25 years and have 2 boys – Robert (21) works full time here in Franklin and Cooper (14) is a freshman at Franklin High School – and 2 rescue dogs, Wrigley and Ivy. We have lived in Franklin for 11 years and are members at Cornerstone Presbyterian in downtown Franklin. In addition to working at Mustard Seed, I substitute teach in the Williamson County School system and do contract work with Fleet Feet’s training coordinator. When I get some free time, I enjoy exercising (running/walking and yoga), reading, sewing, traveling (especially to Disney) and having coffee with friends.

My name is Samia Awad and I have worked at MSP for 10 years. She is originally from Egypt and has lived in the US for 25 years. Samia lived in NY and NJ before moving to Franklin, which she now considers home. She has three daughters and enjoys cooking and volunteering at her church.

Tuesday/Thursday

Ms. Beth Lindberg & Leslie McCaskey

My name is Beth Lindberg and I am in my 15th year of teaching 3’s at Mustard Seed. I have been married to my husband Byron for 23 years. I have a daughter, Alyce, who is 19 and a son, C.J., who is almost 17 (and a 10 lb. dog named Maisy who we consider to be a member of the family). We have lived in Spring Hill, TN for 18 years now, but I grew up in Franklin! I love teaching 3 year-olds! Some people think I am crazy, but I believe that teaching is my calling from God. I truly believe the verse that says: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14. I am so excited to meet your children and get to learn with them.

My name is Leslie McCaskey and I am excited to come back to MSP this year as a 3’s teacher assistant on T/Th and a floater on Fridays. I grew up in Franklin, TN and spent some time working in the UK after college graduation. I am married with a son named Britain, who attended MSP for 3 years and is now in 3rd Grade at Pearre Creek Elementary. In addition to being working with kids at MSP, I serve on the advisory board and work with the administration team on the website, photography and social media.

Tuesday/Thursday

Ms. Dawn Duffett & Ms. Racheal Lopez

My name is Dawn Duffett, I am a wife, a mother, a sister, a runner, a lover of animals and a daughter of the King! I have been married to John for 25 years, we have 3 children and I have been teaching at Mustard Seed Preschool for 13 years. This place is home and it’s a joy and honor to serve my 3 year old friends and their families.

My name is Racheal Lopez and I am excited to start my first year at Mustard Seed Preschool. I have been a Nanny for a Mustard Seed family for 8 years, and I have experienced first hand the wonderful impact that Mustard Seed Preschool has on students. I have lived in Nashville for 25 years, but I have lived in seven different states and overseas. I am a potter, and I work mostly out my own home studio. I also love to read, go to flea markets and craft shows, and spend time with my family.

Wednesday/Friday

Ms. Tina Hicks & Ms. Samia Awad

My name is Tina Hicks and I have been married to my husband Brian for 26 years. We have three sons ages 21, 17 and 14. My degree is in Early Childhood Education. God put a love of children in my heart at an early age, and I have been serving Him by working with preschoolers, on and off, for over 30 years. I joined the MSP staff last year as an assistant, and quickly learned what a special place this is. I am so excited to be a lead teacher in 3’s this year.

My name is Samia Awad and I have worked at MSP for 10 years. She is originally from Egypt and has lived in the US for 25 years. Samia lived in NY and NJ before moving to Franklin, which she now considers home. She has three daughters and enjoys cooking and volunteering at her church.
