Tues/Thurs

Tina Hicks & Lynette Broadhead

My name is Tina Hicks and I have been married to my husband Brian for 28 years. We have three sons ages 24, 19 and 16. My degree is in Early Childhood Education. God put a love of children in my heart at an early age, and I have been serving Him by working with preschoolers, on and off, for over 30 years. I joined the MSP staff two years ago as an assistant, and quickly learned what a special place this is. I am so excited to be a lead teacher again in 3’s this year.

My name is Lynette Broadhead. My husband Mark and I have been married for 13 years and have three sons. We have called Tennessee home for one year now and absolutely love living here. I was born and raised in Northern California but spent most of my adult life in Gig Harbor, Washington while my husband served in the Air Force. When I’m not watching my boys play sports I enjoy kayaking, hiking, gardening, cooking and reading a good book. This will be my first year at Mustard Seed. I am very excited to get to know the students, watch them develop and see what God has in store for us this year!

Tues/Thurs

Beth Lindberg & Joy Strawbridge

My name is Beth Lindberg and I am in my 19th year of teaching 3’s at Mustard Seed. I have been married to my husband Byron for 27 years. I have a daughter, Alyce, who is 23 and a son, C.J., who is almost 21 (and a 10 lb. dog named Maisy who we consider to be a member of the family). We have lived in Spring Hill/Columbia for 22 years now, but I grew up in Franklin! I love teaching 3 year-olds! Some people think I am crazy, but I believe that teaching is my calling from God. I truly believe the verse that says: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14. I am so excited to meet your children and get to learn with them.

My name is Joy Strawbridge. I have been blessed to call Nashville home since the summer of 2020, and hope to stay in beautiful middle Tennessee for the rest of my days! I grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and I’m the oldest daughter of a first grade teacher and a pastor. Teaching and caring for children is in my DNA. I attended a classical Christian school throughout my education, from elementary ages to college. It is my passion to bring this richness to many generations to come! As a teacher, I have worked with middle school and high school students and in fourth grade, where I developed a passion for children’s literature, TBRI and the trauma-informed classroom, and teaching to the unique imago dei of every child. In my work as a nanny to infants and toddlers over the past few years, I have seen this even more. I believe that we can see God’s creativity, wonder, joy, and goodness through the children He has put in our lives.

This is my fifth year in the classroom and my first year at Mustard Seed. I am beyond excited to serve, grow, and learn in this incredible community.

Outside the classroom, I love to read and write, explore local coffee shops and restaurants, and spend time with friends and family.

Tues/Thurs

Dawn Duffett & Lauren George

My name is Dawn Duffett. I am a Franklin native, I have attended Christ Community for 31 years and have been married to my wonderful husband John for 30 of those years. We have 3 beautiful children and now a wonderful son-in-law. Together we enjoy football games, hosting gatherings with family and friends, and outings with the dogs and granddog now that the children have all moved on. I love to drink coffee and read and Camp Gladiators is my new run/exercise!  This is my 17th year at Mustard Seed. I enjoy being with children and lending support to young families, I feel this is what God has called me to do. It is a true joy to be here, I love this school and I am very excited about the opportunity to love and teach your children this year.

My name is Lauren George, and I am excited about returning to Mustard Seed this year as an assistant in the 3s. I am married to Tony, and we have three children: Audrey (15), Hudson (12), and Emmaline (4). My older children are MSP alums and Emmaline is a current student. Mustard Seed is the sweetest and best preschool! I am a Franklin native. I graduated from Brentwood Academy and then the University of Kentucky. We enjoy attending sporting events, watching movies, and chasing our two new Golden Retriever/Samoyed puppies.

Wed/Fri

Tina Hicks & Joanna Reategui

My name is Tina Hicks and I have been married to my husband Brian for 28 years. We have three sons ages 24, 19 and 16. My degree is in Early Childhood Education. God put a love of children in my heart at an early age, and I have been serving Him by working with preschoolers, on and off, for over 30 years. I joined the MSP staff two years ago as an assistant, and quickly learned what a special place this is. I am so excited to be a lead teacher again in 3’s this year.

My name is Joanna Reategui and I have been married to my husband Nolan for 15 years. We have four sons, Santiago 11, Luca 8, Cristiano 4, & Mateo 4. I lived in Cusco Peru working with preschool aged children with Mission to the World in 2004 & 2005, which is where I met Nolan. Upon my return to the States I worked as an assistant and Spanish teacher at MSP for 3 years before Nolan and I had children. Both of our older boys attended Mustard Seed and we are thrilled our younger boys will have the opportunity this year. My days are spent feeding 4 hungry boys, but I love gardening, taking care of my chickens, Titans football, and pretty much anything outdoors. I am so excited to be back at Mustard Seed and can’t wait to share my love for Christ with the students this year.

I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in Choral/Vocal Music Education, and a Masters of Music Performance in Choral Conducting from Ithaca College. After having my first child in 2015, I became a stay-at-home-mom, teaching private voice lessons on the side. With my husband, Peter, we have three children. I enjoy reading, exercising, cooking, and listening to podcasts on everything ranging from comedy, longevity and performance, mental resilience, medical research, to anything else that seems interesting in the moment. I love preschool-age children, especially reading to them and teaching them songs.
