Tues/Thurs

Tina Hicks & Michelle Hancock

My name is Tina Hicks and I have been married to my husband Brian for 28 years. We have three sons ages 24, 19 and 16. My degree is in Early Childhood Education. God put a love of children in my heart at an early age, and I have been serving Him by working with preschoolers, on and off, for over 30 years. I joined the MSP staff two years ago as an assistant, and quickly learned what a special place this is. I am so excited to be a lead teacher again in 3’s this year.

My name is Michelle, this is my 12th year as a teacher. I grew up in California, but my family has called Tennessee home for 27 years. My husband and I have two children, my daughter, a sophomore in college, and a son who is a junior. I love being with the children because they are so open to learning. When not at Mustard Seed, my family loves camping (we’ve been out west twice), watching my kids play soccer, and getting together with friends.

Tues/Thurs

Beth Lindberg & Alauna Bibb

My name is Beth Lindberg and I am in my 18th year of teaching 3’s at Mustard Seed. I have been married to my husband Byron for 26 years. I have a daughter, Alyce, who is 22 and a son, C.J., who is almost 20 (and a 10 lb. dog named Maisy who we consider to be a member of the family). We have lived in Spring Hill/Columbia for 21 years now, but I grew up in Franklin! I love teaching 3 year-olds! Some people think I am crazy, but I believe that teaching is my calling from God. I truly believe the verse that says: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14. I am so excited to meet your children and get to learn with them.

My name is Alauna Babb and this will be my first year on staff at Mustard Seed Preschool. I am so excited to be assisting in the 3s program and teaching in the 4s program. My husband Jim and I have been married for 14 years and we have 3 boys and we foster a little girl as well. We are originally from Elk Grove, California but have lived in Franklin for 6 years. We love to spend time together as a family by enjoying God’s creation. Our favorite outdoor activities including primitive camping, hiking and and going on bike rides.

Dawn Duffett & Michelle Hancock

My name is Dawn Duffett. I am a Franklin native, I have attended Christ Community for 31 years and have been married to my wonderful husband John for 30 of those years. We have 3 beautiful children and now a wonderful son-in-law. Together we enjoy football games, hosting gatherings with family and friends, and outings with the dogs and granddog now that the children have all moved on. I love to drink coffee and read and Camp Gladiators is my new run/exercise!  This is my 17th year at Mustard Seed. I enjoy being with children and lending support to young families, I feel this is what God has called me to do. It is a true joy to be here, I love this school and I am very excited about the opportunity to love and teach your children this year.

My name is Racheal Lopez, and I am excited to start my 4th year at Mustard Seed Preschool. I have been a nanny for a Mustard Seed family for 12 years, and I have experienced first hand the wonderful impact Mustard Seed Preschool has on students. I have lived in Nashville for 27 years, but I have also lived in seven different states and overseas. I am a potter, and I work mostly out of my home studio. I also love to read, garden, and spend time with my family.

Tina Hicks & Joanna Reategui

My name is Tina Hicks and I have been married to my husband Brian for 28 years. We have three sons ages 24, 19 and 16. My degree is in Early Childhood Education. God put a love of children in my heart at an early age, and I have been serving Him by working with preschoolers, on and off, for over 30 years. My name is Joanna Reategui and I have been married to my husband Nolan for 14 years. We have four sons, Santiago 10, Luca 7, Cristiano 3, & Mateo 3. I lived in Cusco Peru working with preschool aged children with Mission to the World in 2004 & 2005, which is where I met Nolan. Upon my return to the States I worked as an assistant and Spanish teacher at MSP for 3 years before Nolan and I had children. Both of our older boys attended Mustard Seed and we are thrilled our younger boys will have the opportunity this year. My days are spent feeding 4 hungry boys, but I love gardening, taking care of my chickens, Titans football, and pretty much anything outdoors. I am so excited to be back at Mustard Seed and can’t wait to share my love for Christ with the students this year.

My name is Sarah Bowman and I have lived in Franklin since 2012. From 2013-2015, I served as assistant professor of music at Tennessee State University, where I directed two choirs and taught applied voice lessons, music appreciation, and vocal techniques for instrumental music education majors. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in Choral/Vocal Music Education, and a Masters of Music Performance in Choral Conducting from Ithaca College. After having my first child in 2015, I became a stay-at-home-mom, teaching private voice lessons on the side. With my husband, Peter, we have three children. I enjoy reading, exercising, cooking, and listening to podcasts on everything ranging from comedy, longevity and performance, mental resilience, medical research, to anything else that seems interesting in the moment. I love preschool-age children, especially reading to them and teaching them songs.
